They were roaring. They loved it. They accepted it. They ate it up. They became reflective. There was a lot of emotion. Spencer was able to be vulnerable, and because Spencer was vulnerable, it gave us permission to be vulnerable. And then people were able to share their real feelings from an authentic place and be able to get coached by Spencer on the spot in a room full of 200 people safely.
The biggest takeaway that I had from Spencer’s experience was really being vulnerable and dialing in to my weakness because my strengths I already know, but I’m scared to battle my weaknesses and I didn’t realize that my strengths were tying me down and making me more weak because I wasn’t pivoting in my mindset about how to talk and deal with different people. And so after this talk that Spencer did for us, it allowed me to think, and I want to go back and journal, where all my weaknesses are and then figure out how to create a plan to go after those because I already know what I’m strong at and I already know how to do that and I can use my strengths, which is task-oriented, getting stuff done, to actually work on my weaknesses.
